Happy International World Water Day!
Two projects due tomorrow means it’s time for a print run. TPH is about a 45 minute bus ride and 15 minute walk from my house. Today’s weather is horrible but it’s okay because transit is free and I have my trusty Itoya folder.
It takes about half an hour to get everything printed.
On the way back to the bus station, a huge gust of wind rips my folder out of my arms, it gets slammed on the ground, slices open, and snow gets inside. Panic panic. Trying to maneuver the prints away from the snow without opening the folder, I bolt back to the station. With my numb fingers I take everything out, and check it. Most of the water didn’t pass the crop marks.
Average life of a commuting designer.
Usually when I listen to music while working, I can’t help singing along and then I get headaches (fail multi-tasking?). I’m on the lookout for music that’s not sing-a-long-able.
I won’t deny it, I’m cheap. That’s why, when it came to making business cards, I went with the cheapest method I could think of. Doodles are from my project 365.
Black and white print off my home printer.
Hand-made stamp with my logo.
Total cost: almost nothing.
